Gaz Nougat

Zoolbia

Zoolbia زولبیا is a deep fried pastry with crunchy- crispy texture and soaked in saffron-rose water and sugar syrup.

It’s one of the traditional and popular dessert of Ramadan ماه مبارک رمضان for Iftar افطار ( breaking fasting time). Zoolbia is made with flour, plain yogurt, corn starch, and then diped in saffron-rose water sugar (honey) syrup. It has a chewy texture but crunchy-crispy and crystalized exterior.
Zoolbia is served cold.

Bamieh

Bamieh is an Iranian and middle eastern sweet treat which is kind of similar to churros. It's deep fried choux pastry that gets a bath in saffron and rose water syrup. They are crunchy on the outside, soft and squishy and syrupy on the inside and pair very well with a cup of black tea or Chai.
